SAFEHOUSE PHILLY & THE BATTLE FOR

SUPERVISED CONSUMPTION IN THE U.S.

In the summer of 2019,  filmmaker Seth Dalton and journalist Christopher Moraff set out to produce what they thought would be a  straightforward profile of America’s first supervised drug consumption site, scheduled to open in Philadelphia. Instead they captured a city torn apart by disease, civil unrest and the politics of fear. THE SITE takes you from the most prolific drug market in America to the hallowed halls of federal court, exposing the best and worst of the human heart along the way.

The Site is a beautiful film about the power of compassion to end needless suffEring and the lengths people will go to prevent that from happening. There is no Disney ending to this story. The Site is instead a call to action. I can tell you that after watching this film, my ears are open.
